Suikaen: Glass Chasen Holder, Bamboo Whisk Stand (Misao, 操)

Chasen holder is an essential tool to maintain the proper shape of the chasen (bamboo whisk). However, Suikaen, seeking a more contemporary style, designed this modern glass chasen holder and named it "Misao", meaning "elegant, graceful, and unchanging". 

This beautiful piece is handcrafted by Mr. Shigehiko Kawakita of Nara Blown Glass Studio. Each piece is carefully made by the blown glass method therefore the presentation of each once will be slightly different.
