This intricate opossum pendant has so many adorable lifelike features. Check out the sweet face with an elusive smile, the little feet complete with five toes, and - if you choose the momma opossum version - the five teensy baby possums clinging on to mom for dear life. Jana insisted that the babies needed to be jiggling freely rather than being solidly attached, so once she finished carving all the waxes, she passed them onto Ross who made it so. It doesn't get much better than this as far as opossum gifts go.

With their adorable beady eyes, opposable thumbs, and an appetite for pesky ticks, opossums are nature’s quirky, unsung heroes, quietly helping the ecosystem one snack at a time.
Mother opossums - the ultimate multitasking moms of the animal kingdom - reminded us of women in midlife. With up to 13 tiny babies clinging to her back, she carries them everywhere—through forests, across roads, and even up trees. She doesn’t get a break, but does she complain? Nope! She just keeps hustling, foraging for food, and teaching her little ones the fine art of opossum survival.
